Our Research
Historically, ALS research has been pursued by scientists working individually.
Project A.L.S.™ requires that scientists, researchers, and doctors work as a team toward shared goals.
Project A.L.S.™ supports research in four basic areas: Genetics, Drug Screening, Stem Cells, and Disease Pathways. The implications from discoveries in one area are rapidly tested in other areas.
Project A.L.S.™ funds research on a rolling basis to support important ideas and findings as they emerge.
Research is overseen by the Project A.L.S.™ Research Advisory Board.
The mission of Project A.L.S.™ is to recruit the world’s best research scientists and clinicians to work together toward an understanding of and the first effective treatments for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
