Dear friend of Project A.L.S.,
On Sunday, May 18, we’re going to stop talking for a cause that’s important to us. Please join us for…The Shutdown.
The Shutdown is a day of action: we’re asking you to take a three hour pledge of silence supporting the Project A.L.S. research that will eventually benefit us all.
We’ve been part of the Project A.L.S. family for over fifteen years, since our friend Jenifer Estess was diagnosed with ALS when she was thirty-five. Jenifer, her sisters and friends started Project A.L.S. to bring scientists and doctors together to understand ALS and related diseases through open, honest, aggressive collaboration.
Stem cell research…genetics…drug testing. Thanks to you, Project A.L.S. researchers have recorded many milestones in the fight to slow, even stop ALS.
But the brain is our most complicated organ—and we still have work to do.
Here’s how you can help make The Shutdown a success.
To make your vow of silence for Project A.L.S. research now, quickly set up your Shutdown fundraising page and then ask your friends and family to sponsor to you. Need inspiration? Check out the pages of two superstars, Avery Niedrowski and Aileen McGrath.
Even if you don’t take a vow of silence yourself, you can support Project A.L.S. research by making a donation. Every dollar you give will go toward the research that will finally, completely shut down this disease. You can make a gift to support our dear friends Meredith & Valerie Estess here.
Please work with us on The Shutdown, and help us make progress toward treatments and a cure.
Ben & Christine
