On Friday, May 30, 2006, the sixth annual A Night to Believe, hosted by the New York Mets organization, brought 800 fans of all ages to the big tent at Shea Stadium. Highlights included great sushi, non-stop barbecue, and a thrilling game between the Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Select generous donors participated in pre-game batting practice and a Home Run Derby. And then there was the grand slam…the Mets presented Project A.L.S. with a check for $1 million for research.
Sarah Silverman: One Night Only when: Fri May 9, 2008

On May 9, 2008, Project A.L.S. presented Sarah Silverman: One Night Only, at the Alfred Lerner Hall at Columbia University in New York. Proceeds from the sold-out event went to the Project A.L.S./Jenifer Estess Laboratory for Stem Cell Research. The audience of 1300 caught the brilliant Ms. Silverman in top form. “Project A.L.S. is a vital crusade—to find a cure for a horrific disease,” she said.

NY GALA CELEBRATES TEN YEARS AND RAISES $1.5 MILLION FOR RESEARCH
On October 16, at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, Julianna Margulies and Greg Kinnear hosted the tenth annual Tomorrow is Tonight event, which raised $1.5 million for Project A.L.S. research programs. InStyle and Avon presented the evening. Additional sponsors were Christopher Designs and the Frye Company.
The Honorable Mayor Michael Bloomberg attended and spoke. Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson provided a special musical performance following dinner. Ben Stiller created a short film for the occasion. Guests were also treated to a research update by research advisers Thomas Jessell and Bob Brown, and a dramatic piece performed by patients and researchers.
Katie Couric presented Martha Nelson, group editor, Time Inc., with the Jenifer Estess Award for her ongoing support and advocacy.
Over seven hundred long-time friends and supporters—the family that will beat this disease--were on hand to help celebrate a decade of progress. Participating artists included Gina Gershon, Steven Weber, Scott Wolf, Marisa Tomei, Richard Kind, Donna Hanover, and Jane Alexander.
New York City Block Party at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles when: May 12, 2007 at 1pm
The 6th Annual Los Angeles Benefit on the Paramount Lot was a huge success and with the generous help of sponsor Departures Magazine, Project A.L.S. raised over $150,000.

Thank you everyone for helping us hit it out of the park this year at the 5th Annual A Night to Believe event at Shea Stadium. The New York Mets family and our wonderful fans combined to raise over $200,000--and without rain!
Hot New York restaurant, Sapa, held its second annual charity dinner benefiting Project A.L.S. and raised over $38,000 for research. A special thanks to Lisa Goldberg, Brian and Dale Matzkow, Leigh and Chad Cascarilla, and our friends at Sapa Restaurant for a great evening.
Hats for Hope, A Madcap Event, hosted by clothing designer Roberta Freymann, was a true Hamptons happening. The “Bid for Beach Hats” auction, plus 10% of store sales from the evening raised $15,000 for research. Special thanks to the elegant Ms. Freymann and our celebrity guest hat designers.
