About Us
Project A.L.S.™ is the new paradigm for brain disease research. The mission is to recruit the world's finest scientists and clinicians to work together-rationally and aggressively–toward an understanding of and the first effective treatments for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Project A.L.S.™ was founded in 1998, as a non-profit 501C3, by Jenifer Estess, her family, and friends, when Jenifer was diagnosed with the fatal brain disease at the age of thirty-five. To date, Project A.L.S.™ has raised $52 million, directing over 89% to research programs.
